Just in case anyone has a problem installing and has bitdefender, the install files get removed by advanced threat, so go restore them then do an uninstall of the bandlab assistant, clear cache etc. Then restart PC. Reinstall bandlab assistant and hit install for cakewalk. If it hangs after download has happened, check your download folder, you'll see two large files in there, cakewalk.exe and instruments.exe run cakewalk first (don't launch it) then instruments. Then in assistant, change to another tab, then back to the apps section and it should now say 'Start' instead of install.
This was the only way I could install it. Hope this helps anyone else.
From the article:Cakewalk by BandLab is a streamlined version of SONAR Platinum – and certain third party products and content bundles will no longer be included. Existing users who have already purchased bundles or individual third party products and plug-ins can still use those products with Cakewalk by BandLab.The new installation of Cakewalk by BandLab via BandLab Assistant will not affect previous installations of SONAR.All users can download Cakewalk by BandLab and access the full feature set for free, without access limitations.Any bundled or independently purchased plug-ins or add-ons that worked with SONAR will integrate with Cakewalk by BandLab. I feel robbed, too. Honestly, I used torrented versions of this for almost 5 years and when they did the 'buy now for free lifetime updates,' I thought 'maybe now it's time to be a big boy and actually own the software I use.' And now it's completely free with free updates, where all the stuff I would be getting for free under Gibson I will now have to pay even more for. Isn't it bad enough that producers have a hard enough time getting paid by labels with everyone calling albums 'mixtapes?' Between that and shit like what Gibson has done the barriers of entry are getting ridiculous.
Use Vienna ensemble pro to handle these vst's.and mix all the audio output in VE pro.not in cakewalk. Then route a stereo channel back to cakewalk. VE pro won't slowing down by these audio output,so does cakewalk. Apr 26, 2008 I have a long guitar rhythm track that came out good, just a bit fast. I know I can easily slow a midi track down using the metronome. That didn't work for the audio track it seems. Is there a way to slow down an audio track and few notches without changing pitch? Thanks for any info.
